Analicia Perez—avid runner and seasoned photographer by day, and musician with a mission by night—is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English-Communication Arts at St. Mary’s University in her home town of San Antonio, Texas. Perez became interested in technology, more specifically photography and graphic design, while attending Rhodes Technology Academy, a middle school technology magnet program. There, Perez took classes in graphics and animation, web design, video production, and desktop publishing. As her technology proficiency blossomed, she found herself called to a career that incorporates her love for creative expression with the unending possibilities of digital media.

Perez then worked her way through The International School of the Americas, a magnet high school that focused on educating students about global issues. There she realized how she could put her knowledge and skills to use for a good cause; she decided to attend college and major in English-Communication Arts hoping to work in communication for a non-profit organization.

Aside from her communications coursework, Perez has also gained photography experience and management skills while serving as the Photo Editor and Assistant Photo Editor for her university’s award-winning newspaper, The Rattler.

Perez currently volunteers as a photographer and graphic designer for The Avenida Guadalupe Association and The Greater San Antonio Ethics and Compliance Roundtable.
